Remise Rosa: Zürich's New Urban Garden Has Opened in Kreis 4
Tucked between the Hardbrücke and the city's Justice Centre, a new outdoor bar, restaurant and community space quietly opened its doors this April — and it's already one of the most interesting spots in the city.
Zürich has a new gathering spot. Remise Rosa opened on 18 April 2026 as a new meeting point in the city, combining the relaxed atmosphere of a bar with the green surroundings of an urban garden.
Located in Kreis 4, tucked between the Hardbrücke, railway tracks, the Kantonsschule Wiedikon on Hohlstrasse, and the Polizei- und Justizzentrum, the space describes itself as a temporary urban garden with restaurants, bars, and room for workshops, markets, movement, and relaxed moments.
The concept is deliberately broad. Part neighbourhood canteen, part beer garden, part event venue — Remise Rosa is designed to be whatever the moment calls for. The project followed a 2024 canton tender for a temporary space to serve the new Kantonsschule Wiedikon, with the aim of creating an open community space, neighbourhood canteen, and platform for about six years.
What to expect
The food offer is described as straightforward and seasonal — a summer kitchen built around quality ingredients with a relaxed, unpretentious approach. The drinks menu is broad. Dogs are welcome. Reservations are accepted for groups of six or more.
Opening hours for the summer season running from 18 April to 26 September 2026 are Monday to Wednesday 11:00–13:30 and 17:30–21:30, Thursday and Friday 11:30–13:30 and 17:30–22:00, Saturday 12:00–22:00, and Sunday 12:00–20:30. A winter season follows from 28 September. Remiserosa
